Zacchaeus was the town taxman
Taking as much money as he can
He was mean with a selfish twitch
So he became greedy and rich
To the town Jesus came
People followed and cheered his name
Zacchaeus heard the crowd
But he was short and could not see
He ran ahead and climbed a tree
He saw Jesus walking ahead
Zacchaeus was lost, yes he was lost
Til Jesus helped find his way
Zacchaeus was lost, yes he was lost
Til Jesus helped find his way
When Jesus reached the tree he said
“Zacchaeus come down right now my friend"
“I must stay at your house today"
The crowd was shocked and in dismay
He came down from the tree
And said to Jesus so gladly
You're welcome in my house
As Jesus talked to him
The crowd whispered "This house of sin
Is where Jesus chose to stay"
Zacchaeus was lost, yes he was lost
Til Jesus helped find his way
Zacchaeus was lost, yes he was lost
Til Jesus helped find his way
Zacchaeus said “I’m sorry Lord
I took more than they could afford
I'll pay them back 4 times more
Give half my things to the poor"
Salvation came to him that day
For he was lost but found his way
Jesus came to save the lost
Jesus came to save the lost
Zacchaeus was lost, yes he was lost
Til Jesus helped find his way
Zacchaeus was lost, yes he was lost
Til Jesus helped find his way
Zacchaeus was lost, yes he was lost
Til Jesus helped find his way
Zacchaeus was lost, yes he was lost
Til Jesus helped find his way
