5000 people came to see

Jesus teach and heal

As the day grew long they began to plea

That hungry they did feel

 

Jesus said, “We shall feed them all”

But disciple Phillip said:

“Our riches are just far to small

Shall we send them home instead?”

 

Not one, not two, not three or four

But:

Five thousand people fed

Five thousand people fed

With 2 small fish and 5 loaves of bread

Five thousand people fed

 

Then a boy offered five loaves of bread

And two fish so very small

And the disciples looked at the crowd ahead

And said how can Jesus feed them all?

 

But there was so much to go around

That it fed everbody there

When piling the leftovers they found

12 baskets full to spare

 

Not one, not two, not three or four

But:

Five thousand people fed

With 2 small fish and 5 loaves of bread

Five thousand people fed

 

Once the people saw, what Jesus had done

They all began to sing

“Jesus straight from God you’ve come

You shall be our king”
