There was a wedding in a town called Cana
And Jesus and his mother were there
As the feast got a little later
They ran out of wine to share

 

So reach up

When Mary asked Jesus to help them
He said; "I will, though it is not yet my time"
He sent the servants to fill pots of water
And that water became wine

 

So reach up

Reach up for God
And he'll reach out

 

This was the first miracle of Jesus
The first sign of his glory
It made the disciples believe in him
This was the first miracle!

 

When the feast master drunk the water
That Jesus had turned into wine
He said, "This is the best wine I've tasted"
The disciples believed it was a sign
