For three long years it did not rain

Until God sent Elijah to Ahab again
Elijah travelled and spoke to the King
To offer him a challenge that he could not win
Elijah said “I have a test for you...

To see which God is true

“To the mountain bring the prophets of Baal We’ll see if your God answers their call”
So the prophets built an alter there
Placed a dead bull on it and said a prayer
They prayed and hoped with their hearts desire
But nothing set their bull on fire

They prayed for fire from the sky
But got nothing at all
No matter how much they tried nothing came at all
They prayed for fire from the sky
With all their hearts desire
But nothing set their bull on fire
 

Elijah had an altar with a dead bull too
And 12 jugs of water on it he threw
He asked the true Lord to turn it all to flames And fire was sent from the Heavens like rain
 

It burned the bull and the alter too
Now they knew which God was true

He sent the fire from the sky
To the alter below
And the dead bull disappeared in the fire and smoke
