Goliath was a giant soldier from Gath
Those he stood against would be squashed in his path
He was big, he was mean
He'd make other soldiers scream
The Israelites were all frightened by him

 

Except this young boy David, who believed in God
He'd never been to war and didn't appear too tough
Yes he was small but he was brave 
He knew in God he'd be saved
God was the only protection he ever needed

 

With a little faith
The young boy could do anything
With his trust in God
He knew he had protection 
With a little faith 
He'd face big bad Goliath
And in God's trust he was safe

 

So off David went to fight Goliath to the end
All he took was a slingshot and a small piece of rock
Goliath began to laugh
At the boy in his path 
He cursed him and called him names

 

But David stood his ground threw his rock with his slingshot
It struck Goliath in the head and he began to drop
It made a mighty sound
As he fell to the ground
With God's help David had won

With his trust in God
He knew he had protection

He'd face big bad Goliath
And in God's hands he won
